HOUSING PROGRAMS:

FORGIVABLE LOAN PROGRAM has been working since January 1995.  It provides a loan forgivable after 5 years to Homeowners 55 and younger who own their homes, live in them for 2 years, meet income guideline and who are in the 11th Ward.  The owner must pay 25 percent of the loan upon approval.

CCBF HOUSE REPAIR PROGRAM FOR SENIORS is for Homeowners who live in the Carondelet Area or the 11th Ward may apply for house repairs if they own the house, live in it, are 55 years or older and have financial need.   This is funded by the Community Development Association.

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT is another area of involvement.  In 1995 we completed 14 new apartments at Virginia and Robert.  We work with developers in the area, with the Community Development Association and with Aldermen.  We also sponsor a Housing Corporation.

THE CARONDELET SENIOR CENTER is operated at 6518 Michigan at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  It provides a hot meal program for persons 60 years and up and many diverse activities Monday though Fridays.  People may make donations for the meals.  The program is funded by the Older American Assistance Program through the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging (SLAAA) and with contributions from CCBF INC making up about one-half the cost.  More information...
